| When I was young, my dad instilled in me a love for all
music which kicks ass.
I began his musical training at 5,
when I began (parentally forced) piano
lessons. By age 12, I began do dabble on
guitar, which interested me so much more.
I’ve been seriously playing guitar since
about 14, when I decided I could not get
play on looks alone. Coincidently, this was
around the time when I won my Fender Strat
(personally signed by Joe Walsh). Caught up
in the alternative surge of the mid
nineties, I started my first band,
Counterglow, where I attempted lead singer
and guitar duties.
Maturing in musical tastes, ability,
and the fact that I’m not a lead singer, I
came to Platteville in search of those who
shared similar interests, and were serious
about starting a band. This is how I met
Eric Walker, who in turn introduced me to
Dan Moris and Dan Faherty, now proud members
of Envy. |
